Thanks to the Bob McDonnell ruling, it is likely not bribery
Unless the memo line on the wire transfer reads "For illegal bribes" it is almost impossible to convict anyone on a pay for play scheme anymore. It is insanely shady and the worst type of swampy politics, but virtually impossible to prove as bribery.
At least those companies are getting hit with some negative PR right now, but that's about the only thing that's going to happen to them. The Russian oligarch, though, might be a little harder to sweep under the rug. Cohen is in some serious trouble, though, and it is looking even more likely that he has info that he can use to "turn" on Trump.
